Our Board Leaders
The General Board is the legal governing board of the EMC. The Moderator and Vice-moderator are elected by the Conference Council delegates to two-year terms. The Moderator chairs the General Board and the Conference Council meetings. The Vice-moderator provides continuity in the absence of the Moderator.
Each of the nine regions elects a member to serve on the General Board as well. The chairpersons of four other boards are also members of the General Board.
The General Board has overall responsibility for the ministries of EMC, and is accountable to the Conference Council for developing strategy and directing the affairs of the EMC.
