Bursaries, Scholarships and Financial Benefits

Church Building Grant Program

The EMC has funds set aside for the purpose of assisting churches in paying down their mortgages. Grants are provided over a ten-year period for qualifying churches. Complete the application form to apply for the grant.

Counselling Benefit for Church Leaders

Ministers and their families experience all the stresses, emotional pain and grief that people face in life. They also face daunting times when ministry becomes overwhelming. Sometimes speaking to a trained counsellor can help identify underlying causes, give new perspectives and show a way towards better health. Download the brochure for more information.

Conference Sponsored Benefits

EMC Churches have the option to participate in the conference’s benefits plan for their staff. There are three basic benefit programs available to pastors and staff of EMC churches: Basic Group Benefits, Extended Health Benefits, and the Pension Benefit. Download more information here.

Leadership Development Scholarship

A leadership development scholarship is available to assist EMC students who are serving or planning to serve in a church or mission-related vocation. It offers assistance towards theological training in a Christian post-secondary or graduate school.
