Ways to Pray for EMC Missions

Prayer Calendar

The monthly prayer calendar rotates through all EMC missionaries, church planters and boards every three months. It is available through the monthly EMC Missions Prayer email, the PrayerMate platform or through your church office.

Prayer Corps

The prayer corps is a monthly prayer update for EMC administered fields - places where EMC missionaries work directly under EMC missions and not with an associate agency, or where EMC missions has worked in the past and we still have ties to the conferences and ministries begun through that work. This includes four countries: Bolivia, Mexico, Nicaragua and Paraguay.

Prayer Meetings

Every so often the Board of Missions holds a prayer meeting where we invite two or three missionaries to share and spend time in small groups praying for them. Information will be posted here as plans are made, and distributed through the EMC Prayer Update email. Prayer meetings happen on Zoom and are also available in person at the EMC office in Steinbach.

Day of Prayer

The EMC Day of Prayer is held annually on the third Sunday in February, though churches may choose to hold theirs on a different date, or pray for EMC missionaries each Sunday throughout the year. A summary of our missionaries and church planters may be found as a part of this material; downloaded below or from your church office.

Prayer Letters

Many missionaries also send out prayer letters - contact them or the office if you are interested in receiving them, or find their page to see if they have a sign up form there.

PrayerMate App

PrayerMate is an app that can be downloaded to any mobile device, where you can create your own prayer lists or subscribe to lists created by churches or organizations, including EMC.
