One- to Four-Week Programs:
Work Teams provide our constituency with a hands-on practical opportunity to serve alongside national believers on our mission fields, to become more familiar with our outreach efforts, and to develop a stronger connection between our churches locally and internationally. EMC work teams have a long history of going out to humbly serve in practical ways with the gifts God has given. These multi-generational teams of men and women have worked alongside our brothers and sisters in many different countries. Contact Ken Zacharias for more information on coming opportunities.
Prayer Teams give our members a chance to discern with, bless, and empower our missionaries and national church leaders, to become familiar with our outreach endeavours, and to develop a stronger connection between our churches nationally and internationally. Contact Gerald Reimer for more information on coming opportunities.
One- to Two-Year Programs:
Ascend is a missions internship program for those who sense God’s call to missions. The purpose of the program is to provide interns with a broader understanding of EMC’s missions work, to prepare them for future service as they work alongside career missionaries, and to give them a context in which to develop their gifts in outreach, leadership, intercession and discipleship. Interns will spend between one and two years on an active mission field where they will receive ministry coaching from veteran missionaries within a supportive team environment. Contact Gerald Reimer for more information or to receive an application form.
Check out service opportunities through Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission, EMC Associate Missions, on EMC-administered fields in Bolivia, Mexico (Guadalajara) and Paraguay, and with EMC church planting in Canada.
With any applications for EMC pastoral positions, candidates are expected to also register a Ministry Information Profile with the EMC Board of Leadership and Outreach, which can be obtained through Erica Fehr.
