The Board of Missions has been working in Mexico since 1954. Through the ministry of missionaries and nationals during these years, churches have begun in both Spanish- and German-speaking cultures.
CEMM: The conference of churches that has emerged among Spanish-speaking Mexican people is called the Evangelical Missionary Conference of Mexico (Conferencía Evangélica Misionera de México). Located in Chihuahua State, the 14 churches are a mixture of both urban and rural congregations. The conference is administrated by a leadership group elected by the churches.
CME: In 2007 the EMC and the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference merged their ministries among German-speaking peoples. Together with seven German-speaking churches, EMC and EMMC assisted in the formation of a German-speaking conference in Chihuahua and Durango States called the Evangelical Missionary Conference (Conferencía Evangélica Misionera, CME). The CME is growing and active in ministries located in Tamaulipas and Vera Cruz.
